Florence's ceramic sculptures celebrate the special affinity between human and animal as well as the beauty, dignity and humour that exist in all creatures. Her process of creating is very organic and the element of chance is allowed to influence the posture and the attitude of the finished sculpture. Beneath each of her subject's gentle and beguiling animal exterior, something deeper is hopefully captured in the gesture and expression. All her sculptures are completely crafted by hand.
